I shoot weddings, and it comes to me as a bittersweet, the differences in some weddings. I have been to weddings where the bride rushed the pastor or where the bride barely kissed the groom at “You may now kiss your bride!” Those weddings make me cringe and wonder if I will be shooting another wedding for them in a couple of years- and not an renewing of vows either! BUT… this past wedding that I shot the day before Valentines, the couple seemed deeply in love! It made me love them! And it made my work easy! I don’t like to take pictures, I love to capture moments, feelings- LOVE! This bride and groom danced- yet there was no space for air in between them. The grooms head snuggled at the brides neck, with true passion. WOW! This should be in all MARRIAGES, not only at weddings! Is it that way in mine? Hum… there’s always something to work on!
Food for thought=
To those that are madly in love with your spouse- at times it may not be easy but it is truely something to work towards and admire! You set the example, keep up the good work Lee’s!
Did you know that September 13 is Grandparents Day?!? What better gift than something affordably memorable. This month will be 15% off of family portraits so make your sitting appointment now!
Welcome to a little of me, Kissy Day, leading photographer for Memorable Milestones Photography. This is my first blog so I only hope that I am doing this correctly. If there is anything that I would like to write about, it would be what I am passionate about. Can I just say that not many can enjoy what they do work wise… I can! Photography is something that I have toyed with for many of years until the moment that a now past supervisor asked what I am passionate about… I replied, “My family, houses, and photography.” He said, “Then go do it!” And here I am. I make a living capturing smiles, expressions and different types of languages, unspoken languages. There is nothing more beautiful than a universal language that is understood by all! How much fun can this be? I love it. So many things can be said without words, my clients emotions and way of being is what I try to portray in my art. Her cheeks are hurting to much from smiling, he can’t stop making her laugh, they never stopped holding hands the entire shoot, wow, a 7 month old already walking, how excited the parents are… I can go on and on for days. I have an interest in people, their lives, their feelings and their passion. It is genuine, not money making. If I can capture just one picture that can make you smile extraordinarily, laugh, or maybe even cry… I did my job (and loved every minute of it!)
