Bittersweet!

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

I shoot weddings, and it comes to me as a bittersweet, the differences in some weddings. I have been to weddings where the bride rushed the pastor or where the bride barely kissed the groom at “You may now kiss your bride!” Those weddings make me cringe and wonder if I will be shooting another wedding for them in a couple of years- and not an renewing of vows either! BUT… this past wedding that I shot the day before Valentines, the couple seemed deeply in love! It made me love them! And it made my work easy! I don’t like to take pictures, I love to capture moments, feelings- LOVE! This bride and groom danced- yet there was no space for air in between them. The grooms head snuggled at the brides neck, with true passion. WOW! This should be in all MARRIAGES, not only at weddings! Is it that way in mine? Hum… there’s always something to work on! ;)   Food for thought=

To those that are madly in love with your spouse- at times it may not be easy but it is truely something to work towards and admire!  You set the example, keep up the good work Lee’s!

Over coming strep throat while raising 3!

All of the symptoms of the flu PLUS your throat feeling as if you can not squeeze a drop of water down it… did I mention that I am STARVING!!! Is this just pay backs for screaming at my children too much? Now My voice has been gone for 2 days, so I’m the only one that can hear myself talk. I feel like a zombie and everybody’s treating me like one- the kids are tearing up everything and enjoying life as they know it- fun if there are rules broken! The husband is too tired from over- working and his own body pains that he himself is a mess…

So question #1… Is it time for SUPER MOMMY? or Question #2… Do I fall down in fetal position, see if anyone will notice?  or Question #3…How will my men overcome the day without me? Well, how about a lil of each! Super mommy shined through by toughing out getting all 3 to school fully fed! Upon arrival at my house I laid till I had to get up! And as for Question #3, my men overcame the day fine- never thought twice about ME!— they had their replacement! My best friend, Gina, who picked them up from school fed them homemade Chicken Soup (and me) and put them all to sleep, allowing me to sleep!

Here’s to best friend’s, good neighbors, hearts of gold, good home cooking and the patience to put up with my entire family! Cheers!
